Ethics Across the Curriculum Faculty Development Workshop
Ethical issues arise in all fields and disciplines, from the sciences to the humanities, from issues of academic integrity to those of race, class, gender, and sexuality. The Kegley Institute of Ethics’s Ethics Across the Curriculum workshops provide strategies and resources for incorporating discussion of ethical issues into your courses. Kegley Institute of Ethics (KIE) Associate Director, Dr. Nate Olson, and KIE Director, Dr. Michael Burroughs, will lead an introductory Ethics Across the Curriculum workshop on Wed., May 20, from 9 am to 3 pm. CSUB faculty members from all disciplines are invited to participate. (Any CSUB faculty member is eligible, full- or part-time.) Participants commit to incorporating ethics-related content into at least one of their courses and will receive a $250 stipend.
After the workshop, KIE leadership will provide follow-up support, and participants will be given the opportunity to present the results of their work at a future Ethics Across the Curriculum workshop.
Stipend: $250
Registration: Register here. Priority will be given to new participants in the Ethics Across the Curriculum program. However, past participants are also welcome to re-apply.
